THE DAISY SAGA, EPISODE 24
Daisy's Arts and Crafts Showdown

One fine day, Daisy was at an arts and crafts show with Rhonda and Brandon (who was not in costume as Blayder Boy). Neither he nor Rhonda were terribly interested in it, but Daisy was fascinated by the ceramics. She was pondering why she had never thought about it before when suddenly the ceiling of the venue exploded.
It rained metal, sheet rock, and other materials down on their heads. Daisy was at the ready, and when the dust cleared, a young blonde girl sat crouched on the floor, her eyes burning with hatred for Daisy. Her hair was in twin ponytails, and she wore a skintight black leather outfit, the top of which was strategically cut to safely reveal as much cleavage as possible.
"Bad Penny," Daisy intoned mirthlessly.
"Fresh out of the big house!" She turned to Brandon. "Blayder Boy, you're looking well."
Brandon remained inscrutably silent.
Bad Penny gave a look of mock heartbreak. "Awwww, don't wanna talk to me with your new little girlfriend around? So what happened? Couldn't wait around for me, so you decided to settle for her?"
Brandon looked nervous. Daisy realized he didn't know how to respond, so she decided to make it easy for him.
"Brandon and I aren't dating."
Bad Penny just smirked. "No surprise there." She grabbed her breasts and hefted them. "No way he'd want a Washboard Wendy like you when he could have me." And then she turned her most seductive look to Brandon and said, "And you *can* have me. Just like before."
Finally, Brandon spoke up. "Not interested."
"Oh!" Penny said in pretend surprise. "You don't want me!" She put the back of her hand to her forehead and closed her eyes. "Is it because I don't have a penis?"
Daisy had never seen an Asian person's face get red before.
"Oh," Penny said, her surprise genuine this time. "You haven't told her."
"It never came up," he replied evenly, his face still flushed.
"He's bi. AC/DC. Swings both ways. Bats for both te-"
"And you have a problem with that?" Daisy replied coolly. She knew Bad Penny's game as soon as the little brat opened her mouth. She was surprised by this declaration of Brandon's sexuality, but it really didn't bother her. As for Penny's "assets", Daisy suspected they were mostly padding, so those jibes also fell on emotionless ears. It was clear to Daisy that Penny was simply trying to throw her off-balance, just as Daisy had done to her the first time they met. But she was already turning it around. "Is that why you broke up with him? Couldn't stand the thought of losing him to some cute guy?"
"HE BROKE UP WITH *ME*!" she screeched, pointing an accusatory finger at Brandon.
"And who could blame him?" Daisy said with a smug smile.
"That's enough! Both of you!" Brandon shouted. Startled, both girls glared at Brandon.
"Penny, I broke up with you because you said you were about justice, but you were just a misguided thug. Daisy and I are just friends, but who knows...maybe?" He gave Daisy a hopeful smile, then looked back to Penny. "But that doesn't matter right now. Your hatred of Daisy is... unjust."
Bad Penny rolled her eyes. "Seriously? And for the record, I don't hate Daisy. I'm just everything she's not... except brunette. I'm the new and improved model!"
Daisy replied calmly, "No improvement required. I'm the original. The best. Now, are you ready to put your money where your mouth is?" Daisy took her stance, ready to take Penny down with her bare hands.
Just then, Bad Penny's phone rang. She held up one finger while she answered it. Daisy folded her arms in front of her and waited patiently while Penny took the call.
"Mickey, I'd love to talk, but I'm kinda... You're here?! ... But how did you get it through airport security? ... Oh, well that's a problem. ... Look, just because it's magic..."
Daisy was suddenly very interested in Penny's conversation.
"I'll be right there," Penny vowed, glaring at Daisy. She then ended the call and declared, "This isn't over, Daisy. I'd ask for a rematch, but my stupid big brother needs my help."
Bad Penny jumped almost high enough to clear the hole in the ceiling, but had to grab the edge at the last second to keep from falling. Hurried footsteps echoed from above, then the sound of a car starting, tires squealing, and something fast motoring away.
"And, we're not chasing her, why?" Brandon asked, one eyebrow up, Spock-style.
"Logistics. The whole thing could be a trap. If we follow and leave Rhonda here, someone might be waiting to grab her."
Rhonda chimed in, "I can take care of mys-"
"Otherwise, we pursue and take her with us, putting her in danger."
Rhonda crossed her arms and pouted.
Daisy sighed. "Plus, no matter what nefarious plot they're hatching, if it wasn't just an act... Bad Penny was spoiling for a fight, but passed it up to help out her brother. I respect that."
